A six day workshop organized by USAID funded Center for Advance Studies in Energy at NUST (CAS-EN), is collectively sponsored by GIZ, USAID, SMEDA, APTMA, and PFA. 

Date:        October 13 - 18, 2014

Venue:     Hotel Serena, Faisalabad

Eligibility Criteria: “It is mandatory for the applicant(s) attending EMT Workshop should be from industrial units. They should be the member of either the Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA), Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA), Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), Pakistan Steel Re-rolling Mills Association (PSRMA). Moreover, the selection will be made on the first come first serve basis” 

The objective of this training is to upgrade the existing skills of technical staff in the areas of energy efficiency to reduce the energy wastages in manufacturing processes. The program course consists of two modules;  

Program Details: Technical Sessions

Module 1:
October 13  14, 2014 
Technical training (drives, lighting, heating engineering, ventilation, air-conditioning, co-generation, transport of energies, thermal energy systems (steam, hot water, thermo-oil etc.), renewable energies, pollutants, flue gas
cleaning and heat recovery systems etc.

Module 2:
Financial Modeling / Advanced Instrumentation October 15  18, 2014
Financial training on Renewable Energy (RE) & Energy Efficiency (EE) projects, Both modules should enable future energy managers to design and implement EE & RE projects including the fund raising for their projects either in-house or with financial institutes (banks, leasing companies) / session on Advanced Instrumentation

Technical sessions on Energy Efficiency an appetizer for CEOs to train their staff with proactive participation of the participants
